A mini album for my sister...

When we were growing up my grandparents lived in a different city, we lived in Oudenbosch and they lived in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), and then when I was 7 we moved to Australia. All my other cousins were spread around as well.

To keep my Oma and Opa up to date with their grand kids,  my parents and Aunts and Uncles used to send photos to them regularly. So my Oma started a photo album for each of her (at that time) 25 grandkids.

Not long after my Opa passed away in 1984 she gave us all our albums back which we have all treasured.

Unfortunately my sisters was one of those sticky paged ones, so I offered to remake it for her. Last week it was finally that time! Here is what I created for her....

p.s. Yes I know there are not  a huge amount of photos... but while we were growing up not as many photos were taken as these days :)

I haven't included all the pages as I really wouldn't want to bore you too much!

My sister doesn't like fussy pages, prefers the simple but nice look. Hope she likes it! (it's on its way in the mail right now!)

Pocket Page Scrapbooking - Singapore

This weekend it has really cooled down and we have had a nice downpour of rain making it perfect weather to sit inside and finally scrap those photos I have from our Singapore trip last year.

To give my kids a little more one on one time I promised to take 1 at a time on short holidays. My middle child was first and we flew over to Singapore for 4 1/2 days. We left Geraldton after Hip Hop on Friday night, met my parents at the airport and flew to Singapore on the 1am flight.

We arrived in Singapore at 6am and to make the most of our few days there we had a BIG day!

In total I took 815 photos! So the only way to scrap so many is the pocket page style. Here are a couple of the pages: (not all as I wouldn't want to bore you!!)

I have already completed 20 pages - and I still need to scrap Lego Land! (another 150 photos!!)

Holiday Smash Book

During the week the Lovely Jo came in store and purchased a smash book. I promised to send her some photos of the one I made during our holiday in Goa, but then thought might as well blog it!

In December 2012 we flew over to Goa to see my husband's family. I decided to take along a smash book, a paper pad, pack of collectables, adhesive, scissors, felt tip pen and alphabet stickers. That's it.

So I was very limited in what I could do but I am very happy with the results. I actually came home with a near completed book!

Here are a couple of photos. I haven't included all of them - I don't want to bore you with my holiday!

Title Page

I traced the inside of the roll of double sided tape to make the circles!

A haircut in Goa is only INR 20! (equivalent to around $0.50)

The kids LOVED the scooters!

St Francis Xavier is the patron saint of Goa. His relic is kept in Old Goa.

So you can create a great keepsake with very little product.

Good Luck with doing yours Jo - shout out if you need a hand :)
